Research Service Resources-Laboratory Platforms
We rely on the rich research resources and expertise advantages of UM. As an internationally renowned public university, UM has laboratories in various fields to support research in computer science, microelectronics, biotechnology, physical materials, environmental engineering, Chinese medicine and other fields. These laboratories are equipped with advanced equipment and instruments in the relevant fields, operated and supported by professional technicians and researchers. With the support of these laboratory platform resources, UM’s experts and researchers are able to conduct research and experiments in their respective fields. At the same time, these platforms also facilitate interdisciplinary research and collaboration, allowing researchers from different fields to work together on research projects and achieve more research goals.
University of Macau has been approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China to set up three SKLs in 2010 and 2018, namely: State Key Laboratory of Quality Research of Chinese Medicines (SKL-QRCM), State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-signal LVSI (SKL-AMSV), and State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart Cities (SKL-IOTSC).
The laboratory platform of university is one of the key platforms for transferring academic research and technological achievements to the industry. Our company is able to collaborate with enterprises or other organizations through the university's laboratory platform to understand market demands, engage in research collaboration projects, and facilitate the transformation of research achievements into products or services, promoting technological innovation and economic development.
In addition to the three SKLs mentioned above, there are various other laboratory platforms at UM. If you would like to know more, you can visitthe UM’s Research Platforms.
State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine
The State Key Laboratory of Quality Research of Chinese Medicines (SKL-QRCM) is dedicated to addressing the key scientific and technological issues of the quality evaluation of Chinese medicines. It aims to build a comprehensive research platform for Chinese medicine quality, to cohesively build a multidisciplinary academic teams to conduct transformative research. The laboratory strives to establish scientific quality standards for innovative research and development of Chinese medicines while also playing a significant role in international exchanges and collaborations.
State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI
State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal LVSI (SKL-AMSV) focuses on the cutting-edge research of various electronic systems. It primarily concentrates on the two main research directions: analog-to-digital converters and low-power RF chips. Meanwhile, the laboratory actively develops research in the areas of power management and microfluidic chips.
State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City
The State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart Cities (SKL-IOTSC) is the first State Key Laboratory in the field of Internet of Things for Smart Cities in China, which carries out fundamental and common research in theories, algorithms, and systems, as well as the development of smart city demonstration applications. The laboratory's research mainly focuses on five directions: smart sensing and network communication, urban big data and smart technology, smart energy, smart transportation, urban public safety and disaster prevention.
